Shadow: STOP THE PRESSES! JUST IN: NOOK HAS TRANSISIONED! Yes it seems Nook (the Stallion of a husky) has just gotten into the limo.

Just for the record, (and mom always wants this to be made clear), Rudy and I are speaking from the Rainbow Bridge in the spirit world. Actually, Rudy is usually off playing with the cows so I often write his stuff in. Also here are Alcu, Rex and Pixie. And now NOOK has at last joined us. We have watched him everyday since Dave started taking care of him over two years ago. He is so handsome it's hard not to notice. Where ever he went on their walks people would oooo and ahhh. I know because they did the same thing with me. Not that I am Nook or anything. There is ONLY ONE Nook. And now here he is.

Rudy: Yes, this is…

Participants travel from across the state to participate in this fundraising event benefiting the American Heart Association which raises funds to aid in the fight against heart disease and stroke. Make a difference in your own life while raising funds to save others.

I came across this great recipe from www.fitsugar.com that I can't wait to try! Who doesn't love making dinner in a Slow Cooker?

Craving a little comfort food that won't break the calorie bank? This dinner involves no cheese and no pizza dough, and I promise it's not deep-fried — but it is just as warm, savory, and satisfying! After one bite of this chickpea and sweet potato curry with coconut rice, you will be sold.

Each serving is about 400 calories, and because this recipe serves six, you can impress your friends with this bold yet easy-to-make dish or save the rest for tomorrow's lunch. This vegan and gluten-free recipe calls for spinach (for some added vitamins and fiber), but you can omit it if you're not a fan of greens in your curry.

Yes it’s that time again. Time to appreciate our clients,

THE 15th ANNUAL MARY COX TEAM CLIENT APPRECIATION PARTY

Now you may be thinking, “Gee they only appreciate their clients one day every year. Now while that may be more than most, it’s only an illusion. We appreciate OUR clients every time we get the chance to talk with them. We appreciate that they chose us to represent them. We appreciate their insightful questions and their patience as we explain the answers. And it is always nice when you, the client, appreciate us!

This year the party, for the first time EVER, will not be at Mary’s house. Now Dave asked “does that mean we don’t have to do the windows, carpets, floors etc…?” Answer, no.

All it means is it will be easier for our…

Shadow: Well Dad is off on another trip to see his folks in California. HIS Dad is quite sick and his Mom needs his help. So Dad leaves our Mom in charge of the house while he’s gone. I used to miss him when he would leave for a few days, but Mom does a real good job, and he’s home before we knew it.

Rudy: I slept when Dad was home and I slept when he was away. Didn’t real see any difference. Yeah we didn’t move around as much with Mom, you know “do your business and back into the kennel” but guess what: I slept in the kennel too. I mean it’s a big as a car so we could all sleep. Shadow would stand guard and we all would sleep. It was great.

Kovu: Yes. I agree with Rudy. We really do sleep most of the day. Actually we astral travel while we are…

I pulled out my atlas the other day and looked up “Anchorage.” I was checking to see exactly where it was located. It IS the site of the Fur Rondy. It IS the area where the Iditarod, (at least ceremoniously) begins every year. I concluded that Anchorage is indeed IN Alaska! Now that I had solved that quandary, I wondered what did I really know of Alaska. It’s cold. Yet today in February the therometer says “35 degrees F!” Now that’s not cold; not for Alaska. So I looked around for the snow. Alaska surely has snow. And there it was, all of two months old; Snow…and green grass. Green grass in February. This couldn’t be Alaska.
But there it was right on the map. Snow. So I went down to see where the world famous Iditarod Sled Dog Race would start only to be…

Coffee should be hot. Beer should be cold. Mexican food should be spicy. However, if these things are less than the standard that you expect, there are not any lasting consequences.

As the value of the object in question rises, either in price or gravity, the expectations usually increase and decisions become progressively more important. Marriage, children, health and careers are certainly a few of the more important items that bear careful consideration.

The sale of the largest asset that most people own, their home, also merits having reasonable expectations. A homeowner should expect to get the market value for their home in a reasonable period of time with as few inconveniences as possible.

According to the latest Home Buyers and Sellers…

The more things you have, the more you have to take care of. And in this case, the more that you have to store that gets in the way of finding the things that you actually use. Periodically, you need to go through every closet, drawer, cabinet and storage area to get rid of the things that are just taking up space in your home and your life.

Every item requires the decision to retain or remove. Consider these questions as you examine each item:

• When was the last time you used it?
• Do you believe you’ll use it again?
• Is there a sentimental reason to keep it?

You have four options for the things that you’re not going to keep. If you know someone who needs it or will appreciate it, you can give it to them. You can sell it in a garage sale or on…
