This past weekend, I had the absolute honor of participating in the Alaska Run for Women—an event that continues to be one of the most uplifting, empowering experiences in our community each year.
As I laced up my running shoes and joined thousands of other women at the starting line, I could feel something special in the air. It wasn’t just about the run—it was about purpose. Every step taken was in support of breast cancer research, awareness, and the courageous women who have faced it head-on.
From survivors wearing pink sashes to first-time participants joining in solidarity, the energy was contagious. The route was filled with cheers, encouraging signs, music, and a sea of pink. It was powerful. Moving. And absolutely unforgettable.
This event is a beautiful reminder that when Alaskans come together, we create waves of change—and a sense of belonging that runs deeper than any finish line.
As a proud member of The Mary Cox Team, participating in local events like this is about so much more than visibility. It’s about showing up—for our neighbors, our clients, and the causes that make a real difference in people’s lives.
???? Whether you're a survivor, a supporter, or just someone who believes in community—thank you. You help make Alaska a stronger, more compassionate place.
