Ring in 2015 at Alyeska Resort! There’s no better way to celebrate than on the slopes.
Torchlight Parade & Fireworks – 9 pm
An Alyeska tradition! The Torchlight Parade consists of volunteer skiers and snowboarders in a procession down the slope creating a stunning visual effect. Immediately following, fireworks will illuminate the sky for a finale show. This event is free and open to the public. The best viewing is at the Daylodge base area.
Participants include: Alyeska Ski Club, Big Alaska Snowboard Club, Challenge Alaska and Alyeska employees. Participants must be 18 years or older, strong advanced/expert level skier/rider, and poles are not allowed. Please wear older outerwear and eye protection as damage may occur from torches.
Please note that due to the parade and fireworks, there will be no night skiing on Dec. 31 and all lifts will close by 5:30 pm.
